COVID-19 UPDATES: Canada’s Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs) Program is jointly administered by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) and Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). IRCC recently announced exemptions to travel restrictions to facilitate entry of TFWs into Canada. Wording Change to Reg 440 - re minimum annual tonnage calculation for tomatoes/carrots

OPVG has been advised that the Farm Products Marketing Commission has approved amendments to Regulation 440 that would update the minimum annual tonnage calculation formula for processing tomatoes and carrots. “Contracted” tonnage is now the proxy for calculating the minimum annual tonnage, in place of “purchased” tonnage.
