There is a lot of talk in the media and in government right now about inflation and the rising cost of food in Canada and around the world, and Members of Parliament will be studying food prices and grocery inflation in the coming weeks.
In order to demonstrate to Parliamentarians and government officials how rising costs have impacted growers, FVGC would like to hear from you about your experiences. There’s also been a lot of focus in government on environmental best practices and green technology in agriculture. We’d like to better understand the best management practices our growers are already utilizing, and whether government programs are effectively supporting our sector.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could please answer this short survey regarding:
• rising costs to growers;
• what work you are doing to make your farm more sustainable; and
• what government can be doing to better support you.
We hope to be able to share the results of this survey during our Fall Harvest lobby event in November.
