The OPVG Office has Relocated

We’re excited to share that the Ontario Processing Vegetable Growers office has officially moved to a new location. After many years in our previous space, it was time to make a change that better supports our day-to-day operations and continued service to growers.

Please update your records with the following address:

4026 Meadowbrook Drive unit 122

London ON, N6L 1C7

Business hours, phone numbers and email contacts remain unchanged. We look forward to welcoming you to our new space.

Nortera Update

This season’s crops are looking plentiful, with high yields and good volumes. Local plants have been shipping beans and corn out of province to support other areas experiencing weaker crop performance.

  • Corn harvest is 30% complete
  • Bean harvest is 50% complete

Farm and Food Care Ontario 360 Program

OPVG had the opportunity to join the Farm and Food Care Ontario film crew as they captured the story of Ontario’s processing tomato industry from planting to processing. Four flat videos and one virtual reality video will be created that highlights the growers and processors who make Ontario’s tomato industry so strong.

Filming began in the fields at planting, followed the crop’s journey through to harvest, and concluded at the Conagra tomato processing plant. Having the chance to showcase both the field and plant perspectives will provide a full picture of the dedication, efficiency, technology, and care that goes into every load of tomatoes.

We are pleased to support this project with Conagra and Farm and Food Care Ontario and we look forward to seeing the final product. Thank you ADP Farms for taking the time and welcoming the film crew into your fields during planting and harvest.

Agricorp Reporting Reminder

As the season progresses, please remember that it is the grower's responsibility to immediately report any crop damage or unharvested crop left in the field by calling Agricorp. An adjuster may contact you for more information or to schedule an inspection of the damaged crops. Do not abandon, destroy, replant, harvest or use damaged acreage for another purpose without Agricorp's consent.

Agricorp can be reached at 1-888-247-4999. Please have your name and Agricorp ID ready when calling. If you need more information on production insurance, you can find it on their website HERE

You can also reach out to the OPVG office at 519-681-1875 or opvg@opvg.org. We are happy to assist you with any questions or concerns.
