Hot Banana Peppers Exempt from Regulations for 2012
As a result of the recent announcement by Strubs to discontinue operations prior to the 2012 season, the board has decided to provide an exemption to the regulations for hot banana peppers. Specifically, growers of hot banana peppers, for the 2012 crop year, will be free to market their crop as they see fit.
The board will revisit this issue at the conclusion of 2012 to determine if the exemption should be made permanent.
